How Going to the Gym Will Change Your Life

Hey loves! Today's post will be short (despite being a day late but don't worry because upcoming posts will make up for that!). If you read my last blog post you would know that one of my New Year's Resolutions is to work out more. You can check that post out here. I wasted no time tackling this goal as I actually started going to the gym on December 30, 2017 and I just want to say it has CHANGED MY LIFE.

Now, hear me out. I am not athletic in any way, shape or form. In fact, I've tried numerous times to start an exercise routine but after that first day when I'm laying in my bed, back hurting and abs sore I have consistently given up. The difference this time? My support system. On my first day at the gym I went with my boyfriend and he pushed me harder than I've ever been pushed before. He even convinced me to get on a treadmill (I have always been paranoid of falling off) where I jogged for 25 minutes. After, that first day I was doneeeee. I mean I rubbed my WHOLE body down in Bengay. And the next day? I pushed right through the soreness and did another 100 reps of crunches, leg raises and bicycles plus 30 minutes on the treadmill. To my surprise, I felt great and the soreness actually had went away some. The best part? I was already seeing results. Two gym sessions in and I had lost 3 pounds!

As the week progressed, I worked out every day. Some days I couldn't make it to the gym and just exercised at home. I incorporated more exercises and reps and lowkey, didn't want to stop exercising most sessions. Each session made me less and less sore. Here we are almost a full week into my new exercise regimen and I don't plan on stopping any time soon. I'm not saying that everyone will get accustomed as quickly as I did and I'm not saying you'll see results as fast as I did either. What I am saying is stick with it and don't give up because it might turn out that you like it!
